DESCRIPTION Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a pioneer and recognized leader in Cloud Computing. As we rapidly grow our business, we are seeking a senior commercial executive to lead our India and SAARC region. The Vice President, Commercial Sales, AWS India will be responsible for defining and executing a global commercial sales strategy for AWS in this fast and dynamic growing region for India and SAARC. The executive will grow our C-level/Line-of-Business customer and partner relationships, Hire and Develop the best talent, and Deliver Results for our customers. We are seeking an accomplished global sales leader to own the development, execution, measurement and reporting of a best-in-class sales strategy that will drive customer acquisition and usage of AWS' broad portfolio of products and services. This leader should have a track record of building high-performing teams that are data-driven, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, and that work to quickly identify and iterate on sales strategies. This leader should be passionate about building compelling sales solutions that work backwards from customer needs, with the goal of accelerating sustained adoption of our product suite across a diverse set of customers and industries. Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate will possess a general management background that enables them to both set a strategy and dive deep on execution and operationalise the strategy. Additionally, the VP, India will: .Cultivate relationships and influence C-level executives across multiple functions and sectors. Develop an overall vision and execution roadmap by country, segment, and vertical .Drive focus and strong revenue growth across all AWS services, ensuring customers are aware of service value and differentiated position .Work and seek inputs with senior global leaders across AWS to advocate for the India customer and establish a roadmap that works backwards from their needs .Build mechanisms to scale AWS impact across multiple industries and countries. .Be present publicly, deliver thought leadership, and spread awareness externally about AWS impact and offerings, including on topics of digital sovereignty, security, cloud adoption .Brings together different businesses with AWS to develop a strong local agenda and local investments and is the face for AWS (even outside of Commercial Sales) in India .Build a world-class technical sales team that breaks new ground in efficiency and reach .Partner with legal, tax and regulatory and other businesses in India to develop country planning for partnerships and operations We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Gurugram, HR, IND BASIC QUALIFICATIONS . Track record establishing rapport, building close relationships, and exhibiting Customer Obsession with C-suite level executives at some of the largest and most complex companies in the world. . Understanding of the India market, across customer segments, and ability to keep up with the pace of growth and change in this market. This executive will be able to represent India internally within AWS as well. . Strong experience managing a geographically dispersed, complex field sales organization. Must have the ability to approach the market from the lens of field operations . Experience selling directly and through partners, software products or technology services, and coaching large sales organizations to do the same. . Executive GM/CEO-level experience leading a large, complex organization across multiple functions and countries. . Success in negotiating and closing large and complex multi service deals with customers and partners. . Experience having worked in a matrix structure and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels and globally . Fluent English verbal and written skills . Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS . Background in consulting .
