WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Knowledge Analyst (KA) within BCG's Consumer Practice Area Knowledge Team, you will work in a growing global team, providing in Climate & Sustainability related topics and insights, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory. Additionally, you will support your topic in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for the CPG/Retail C&S topics, in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. As a Knowledge Analyst you will assist with on-boarding, and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, in conjunction with topic leaders, business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues. The candidate is expected to have experience and knowledge in at least one or two from the following topics (in the context of FMCG and Retail industry only) Sustainability strategy and ESG benchmarking Sustainable growth including portfolio strategy, product innovation, green business development. Knowledge around decarbonization levers including (not limited to) fleet, packaging and circular economy food systems transformation and/or sustainable agri practices. BCG's Consumer Practice is one of the firm's largest industry practice areas and keeps growing continuously across all regions. BCG's Consumer practice creates breakthrough innovations for clients in the four sectors: consumer goods, retail, and fashion & luxury. YOU'RE GOOD AT Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches in sustainability within the Consumer topics. Additionally, we are looking at a candidate who is good at: Formulating research and/or analytical approaches to help solve client problems and enable the case teams to address client queries based on expertise. Working independently and with a strong entrepreneurial thinking spirit the candidate will need to develop a strong business-building focus to operate/influence effectively stakeholders in an international matrix organization. Applying advanced knowledge and technical skills to codify knowledge and maintaining proprietary assets, benchmarks and tools. Identify and own recurring analysis/dashboards summarize and disseminate to leadership team and throughout the practice to implement it with other client teams. Communicating with senior stakeholders, in a credible and confident way consulting skills and approach will be key to succeed in the role when supporting case teams. Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas and suggestions. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Master's degree relevant to Consumer C&S topics 1+ year of relevant work experience in sector/topic preferred Or Bachelor's degree, with strict minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience in the relevant topic with some certification courses to compliment Advanced proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with other digital tools - Alteryx/Tableau or other business intelligence solutions for data analysis, visualization, cost modelling, and reporting Fluency in English Excellent execution/ organizational/ communication skills Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities Strong written and verbal communication skills As a Knowledge Analyst you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight. BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information.
