Responsibilities:
  • Drive EHS Management system in F&M, Cell ,Module ,Warehouse and other departments • Collect, analyze and monitor EHS data- leading indicators, lagging indicators related • Maintenance of up to date MIS data related to EHS and preparation of EHS review meeting presentations. • Monitor Critical Activities on site & correct the unsafe practices/conditions through stop the line approach. • Maintain EHS software tools- e.g. incident management, actions tracking, permit to work, MOC etc. • Lead the Management of change(MOC) program for new/modified equipment/ processes or facilities • Implementation and Monitoring of Permit to Work System. • Carry out and updating the inspections & audits observations of EHS department on daily basis in single list of action items • Carry out IH qualitative and quantitative assessment and ensure implementation of controls through concerned department. • Develop Ergonomics assessment and controls for office and shop floor workstations • Review effectiveness of general ventilation and LEV through periodic measurement and monitoring • Identification of Hazard, Risk, and Unsafe condition, Unsafe act & support of immediate actions and corrective /preventive actions to the concerned department • Near-miss reporting & Investigation to avoid any major accidents. • Monitor contractor safety through contractor safety management program. • Develop various EHS training programs, assessment methods and track the trainings data. Delivering safety Induction training and daily tool box talk to workers as well as engineers on different topics whenever required. • Develop and Deliver training programme on chemicals safety, Process Safety Management, ventilation, EHS analysis methods, toxicology, ergonomics and other critical EHS subjects. • Review the HIRA, JSA, METHOD STATEMENT, Safe Operating Procedure etc. of all activities for better EHS improvement. • Define right PPE for type of activities and periodically inspection their compliance of PPE • Periodic inspection of critical to EHS equipment and track the findings with concerned area in charge. • Implementation and monitoring of the company EHS policy. • Develop and review emergency preparedness through mock drills. • Carry out periodic assessment and auditing, to ensure the system effectiveness • Actively lead celebration of various days and weeks for creating EHS awareness among employees & contractors • Legal Compliance tracking and ensure its compliance through periodic review. • Follow safety officer duties specified in Gujarat Factory Rules 1963 and notifications • Manage environmental issues like Air, Water and Hazardous waste including Greenhouse Gas Emissions etc.
Qualifications:BE B Tech - Regular12 to 15 years
