- Work closely with the strategic business units, sales, and project leaders to develop coordinated pricing strategies, identify new business / pricing opportunities, and communicate pricing rationale across the business.
- Determine methodology to analyze historical pricing information to determine the best price points for the business.
- Define and track price metrics, KPI's, and best practices across the company globally, identify actions.
- Mine data, analyze and interpret results using standard statistical tools and techniques.
- Employ statistical modeling methods to determine the impact of pricing strategies and identify opportunities.
- Benchmark and maintain visibility into current pricing performance by product and geography.
- Track the effectiveness of annual/midyear price adjustments and quantify the realized impact.
- Track the contribution of specific price improvement initiatives and report regularly.
- Identify and implement price improvement opportunities.
- Identify price leakage opportunities and develop remedies and prevention measures.
- Take lead role in the annual development and dissemination of the Global Price Books
- Maintain product, market, and channel knowledge and regularly monitor industry pricing practices, particularly for major competitors and distributors.
- Coordinate with all world areas on price increases
- Collaborate with the Business Analytics and Intelligent Automation teams to develop tools enabling data driven pricing decisions, creating visuals, and delivering business.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments for pricing inputs supporting development of Digital commerce (Configure Price Quote) tools.
- Provide input on new product pricing strategies.
- Assist sales with pricing intelligence and impacts.
- Manage a team of Pricing Analyst located in Chennai.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 12+ years of overall experience preferably in Pricing, Statistics, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or Accounting with an industrial (business-to-business) company selling configured products.
- 6+ years of Supervisor Experience including setting up annual objectives, performance evaluation, identifying & planning upskilling of team members apart from regular day to day functional deliverables by the team.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to drive change and effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Strong Management Competencies
- MBA / Equivalent Post Graduation program in Business Management or Data Analytics (Offline, Online or Hybrid programs)
- Advanced certified user of Data Analytics & Reporting Tools
- Expert user in ERP, preferably Oracle
