Job title : Senior Manager - Evonik Skin Institute (ESI)Work Location : ThaneEntity : Evonik IndiaBusiness Line : Care SolutionsPurpose of the position :The position leads the biological evaluation lab team for Evonik Skin Institute (ESI) in India.Ensures successful coordination and conduction of multi-parametric screening consisting of complex molecular biology tests.The position is responsible for by Setting up and managing a “state-of-the-art” cell culture and molecular biology labResponsible for all laboratory related functions and organizational topics.A major competency of the position is to build close relationship with internal and external stakeholders to understand unmet needs, evaluate business opportunities and propose projects.The position ensures a focus on sustainability both related to chemistries & operations, in alignment with Evonik’s target.Key Responsibilities:Leads Evonik Skin Institute (ESI) lab and supervise a team of lab technicians to run multi-parametric biological screening of ingredients from internal and external customers.Understanding molecular biological assays related to skin science and developing innovative assaysCapable of understanding the requirements of the cosmetic active and functional ingredients for proposing advanced screening assaysProject Management: Planning, coordination and scientific management of the projects. Prioritizing projects according to business criteria and laboratory capabilities. Responsible for regular reporting of results to internal and external customers.Implement and coordinate laboratory results in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)Establish and maintain network within the Global Evonik Skin Institute (ESI) team for technical exchange, co-development and to foster innovation culture.Provide technical support to team members, Sales colleagues/ Customers & DistributorsRepresent Evonik Skin Institute (ESI) in regional industry seminars, exhibitions, tradeshows, fair, etc.Support in generating regional market insights and research on recent innovations.Ensure development of the required infrastructure, competencies & capabilities at the center to deliver projects within the desired quality, quantity and timelines.Responsible for the safety in the lab including proper documentation status, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.Ensure proper utilization of resource through efficient prioritization of projects and workloads.Create an encouraging and motivating work culture for the team members.Lead, coach and develop the team member.REQUIREMENTSB. Tech /M.
