Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity RFP of Advanced Optics Engineer - HRD225646 RESPOSIBILITIES: As an Advanced Optics Engineer, you will be part of NPI team developing products for Industrial Safety Line of business with key focus on Fixed gas and Flame detection sensor solutions. Be able to work in multidisciplinary team (R&D, manufacture, sourcing, marketing, quality, suppliers etc) to meet to meet Design to Cost/Quality/schedule and also to assess product level potential risk identification. Design, simulate and optimize the optical design. Develop POC's, perform DV/PV validation and work with larger global stakeholders to launch the product in Honeywell Factory Perform design analysis results and provide technical expertise for design trade off. Work with operations and supply chain to ensure manufacturability of the product and participate in production test equipment development and design transfer activities. Maintain high quality documentation of the entire design as required by quality organization. Perform hands-on work in the lab, as required. Should be resourceful to develop POC's with off the shelf components and be able to develop transfer functions for the key design concepts. HTSIND2022 QUALIFICATION: M.Tech/ MSc.Tech in Optical Engineering with 5 to 9 years of Industrial experience Masters degree in optical engineering, opto-electronics engineering and applied engineering physics At least 5years working experience in optical design, alignment & testing. Knowledge on Optical quality, Sensitivity analysis Exposure to Fiber Optics sensors, Free-space optics (imaging and non imaging) Good knowledge on Multispectral sensing application like Spectroscopy Experience on optical design software is a must like Opticstudio/SPEOS/CODEV/LUMERICALS Experience in Optical drawing as per ISO and MIL standard Hands on experience with Python scripting, C/C++ and MATLAB Machine learning and Computer vision skills will be an added advantage Knowledge on optical test methods and familiar with test equipment: MTF tester, profiler, interferometer, spectrometer Knowledge of optical components' manufacture process, knowing CTQs (Critical To Quality) for different optical components. Ability to statistically analyse data with software tools like MS Excel/Minitab
