Those intrigued by the prospect of contributing to the digital transformation journey of a Fortune 500 company are encouraged to explore more details about the function through the followingPurpose of the roleThe Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the Global Digital Transformation initiative at General Mills in capacity of a D&T Analyst II – Master Data Operations. This role will report into Associate D&T Manager, GDGS team in India and functionally collaborate with stakeholders across the Enterprise teams. This role has ownership and accountability for executing material master operation processes and standards. This individual will have to lead the team in guidance, process enhancement and improvement for their respective functional data domain.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES· Executes and supports maintenance activities to SAP Material master data as approved by business, including requests to create, change, extend, block/unblock, activate/deactivate, or otherwise modify master data and execute mass maintenance requests· Ensure day-to-day operations are fulfilled within service level agreements and troubleshoot support/technical issues· Collaborate with Data Stewards to enable the identification and resolution of data quality issues· Monitor key KPI's to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within material master domain· Identify, lead, and implement continuous process improvements across the material master data management· Lead initiatives and participate in projects to coordinate for the successful implementation of system enhancements and fixes around material master data· Collaborate with various departments & internal stakeholders to define or streamline material master data processes.· Guide team members, including contractors on day-to-day activities· Demonstrated ability to work in a global team environment· Identify improvements and build justification for resource prioritization.· Develop internal network to ensure alignment with: General Mills’ technology standards, best practices, and trends, as well as Global Business Solutions & IT continuous improvement initiatives· Lead the training and design/document new or updated process flows moving to SAP, including uploading and maintaining all new master data requirements· Create and deliver user documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of changed and newly implemented solutions and standards.· Execute operational controls and document related support artifacts· Work with business partners to optimize digital tools and data to leverage standard metrics, models, and dashboards that drive accountability and results, reinforce desired behavior, and measure successCompetencies/Behaviors required for job· Deep Data Governance, Data Quality and Master Data Expertise· Sound problem-solving skills· Strong network and communication skills across the business, IT, and GDGS· Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge skillset· Creating a positive environment within the team· Strong team player· Focus on continuous improvement· Service Excellence with a growth mindset· Global Business Process Expertise· Change Management experience· Presentation and consultation skillsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years with 6-8 years of related experience
Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
  • Domain Expertise (Material master including hierarchies)
  • Expert in SAP Material master data structure utilizing knowledge to analyze business requirements
  • Preferred exposure to additional SAP master data domains (customer or vendor)
  • Can prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines
  • General SAP Master Data / Analyst experience / skills
  • Querying with SE16 and SQVI
  • Mass Loads using SAP tools/ LSMW or other software / WinShuttle
  • Workflow processing with SAP or other software
  • Experience managing data driven processes across multiple functions
  • Experience with SAP or other data management solutions
Some of these SAP Data domain specific experience / skills:
Material domain - SAP transactions: MM01, MM02, MM03, MM06, MM17, MR221, MMSC, and SE16 etc.Additional Skills
  • Knowledge of Procure to Pay(P2P) process.
  • Should be familiar with master data T codes and tables.
  • Understands the flow of data in assigned domain.
  • Understands the business process to create the required master data.
  • Experience with Service Delivery and related metrics
  • Experience managing third-party relationships and deliverables
  • Knowledge and experience in Data Governance frameworks and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of external data trends and industry requirements
