Overview:The Automation Anywhere Robotics Bot Controller role is part of the Intelligent Automation (IA) or RPA Operations team and reports to the RPA Product Owner/Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to monitor, validate, and enhance robotic process automation (RPA) bots built on Automation Anywhere, ensuring consistent, high-quality output. The person will be responsible for addressing bot performance issues, managing bug fixes, and implementing optimizations to meet evolving business needs. This role involves collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, process owners, and IT teams to ensure that automation solutions operate seamlessly in production environments. The person will serve as the go-to point of contact for operational RPA issues, post-deployment validations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:Roles & Responsibilities
  • Bot Monitoring & Operations:
  • Monitor scheduled and triggered bots in production to ensure successful execution and accurate output.
  • Validate bot outputs against expected business results and escalate discrepancies.
  • Identify and resolve exceptions or errors, ensuring minimal business impact.
  • Maintain bot run logs, error reports, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to address failed bot runs or partial outputs.
  • Bot Validation & Quality Assurance:
  • Perform post-deployment validations to confirm bot logic and workflow meet process requirements.
  • Ensure bots comply with governance, security, and audit requirements.
  • Bot Bug Fixes & Enhancements:
  • Work with RPA developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Automation Anywhere bots.
  • Suggest and implement bot logic improvements for better efficiency and accuracy.
  • Track and document defect resolution activities.
  • Bot Performance Optimization:
  • Analyze bot run times, resource usage, and transaction throughput to identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Recommend configuration or workflow changes to improve execution speed and stability.
  • Implement scheduling optimizations to balance load across environments.
  • Maintain performance dashboards and provide periodic reports.
  • Process & Change Management:
  • Ensure smooth change implementation with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain version control and release notes for bot updates.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Analyze bot error patterns and propose process automation improvements.
  • Drive automation best practices for reusability and scalability.
  • Support migration or upgrade activities for Automation Anywhere platform versions.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles, SOPs, and lessons learned.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Liaise with IT teams for environment issues, credentials, and infrastructure support.
  • Work with business teams to gather feedback on bot output quality and improvement areas.
  • Present status updates, metrics, and enhancement proposals to management and clients.
Requirements:Requirements:
  • Must Have Skills:
  • Strong experience in Automation Anywhere bot operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of RPA lifecycle, error handling, and exception management.
  • Hands-on experience with Automation Anywhere Control Room, scheduling, and credential vault.
  • Proficiency in reading/modifying bot scripts, workflows, and task bots.
  • Good understanding of process validation and QA practices.
  • Good to Have:
  • Experience with IQ Bot and Automation Anywhere A360.
  • Familiarity with SQL, APIs, and integration concepts.
  • Exposure to performance tuning in RPA environments.
  • Team management and client communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile or ITIL practices.
  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in RPA operations, preferably with Automation Anywhere.
  • RPA certifications (Automation Anywhere Advanced/Professional) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
