- Linux System Administration:
- Manage and administer CentOS, RHEL, or OEL Linux distributions.
- Perform User Management tasks including user creation, deletion, and permission management.
- Configure and manage Logical Volume Manager (LVM) for storage management.
- Experience with services like NFS, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, and YUM.
- Patch Management:
- Apply patches and updates to ensure system security and stability.
- Develop and implement patch management strategies to minimize downtime and risks.
- Performance Management:
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions for improvement.
- Data Centre Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the data centre including server provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure data centre infrastructure remains operational and secure.
- VMware Administration:
- Manage VMware virtualized environments including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Monitor virtual machines (VMs) performance and resource allocation.
- Nutanix Administration:
- Administer Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) including deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
- Monitor Nutanix clusters and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Shell Scripting:
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation of routine tasks and system administration.
- Automate deployment processes and system configurations using shell scripting.
- AWS Cloud Experience:
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, etc., for infrastructure deployment, storage, and networking.
- Configure and manage AWS resources to meet organizational requirements.
- Monitor AWS resources and implement security best practices
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator with expertise in CentOS, RHEL, or OEL.
- Strong understanding of User Management, LVM Management, Patch Management, and Performance Management.
- Experience with Data Centre Operations, VMware administration, and Nutanix administration.
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting for automation and task scheduling.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with AWS Cloud services such as EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, etc.
- Experience with GitHub Administration, Jenkins
- Experience with tools like OKTA, Office 365, and JIRA is an added advantage.
- RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (AWS CSA).
