Visit to learn more!This role involves performing and optimizing the application engineering for thermal system solutions global OEM & dealer/distributor customers in the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Rail, Mining and Marine Markets.Responsibilities & Key Actions:Identify and propose optimum thermal system solutions based on customer’s technical and application requirements using thermal sizing design software.Create commercial and technical proposals for Customers and Sales Account Managers.Develop product documentation such as specification sheets, technical manuals, marketing materials, and presentation materials and support ongoing thermal sizing software initiatives to support sales.Provide technical support for Sales Account Managers with OEM Sales opportunities and for Manufacturer’s Representatives with dealer/distributor sales opportunities, including obtaining and understanding customer requirements.Collaborate with Product Engineering to provide details needed to translate optimal cooling system solutions into final production designs through the principles and processes of the Product / Application Development System.Analyze and evaluate performance testing data for product validation and identifying performance improvement and potential cost reduction opportunities.Remain current with industry trends, product applications, market activities and competitive products.Qualifications / RequirementsBachelors /master’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering with 4 - 6 years’ experience of engineering design, development, simulations and analysis. Masters degree in thermal engineering, heat transfer, fluid dynamics will be a plusHands on experience on 1-D and 3-D fluid dynamics calculations, using commercial 1D and 3D CFD tools.Proven experience of application engineering, inside technical sales, or technical sales experience, preferably within the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Rail, Mining or Marine markets.Strong, effective communication skills (oral and written) with aptitude in building relationships at all organizational levels.Minimal travel (Domestic and International) to customer facilities, tradeshows, conferences, and job sites.Working knowledge and interest of mechanical & electrical equipmentStrong organizational and Microsoft Office computer skills.Our Commitment to Embrace Diversity:Wabtec is a global company that invests not just in our products, but also our people by embracing diversity and inclusion.
