- Perform quantitative and qualitative research into consumers, competitors, and the marketplace
- Data mine the world wide web leveraging search engines and web analytics to gain insights from articles, publications etc.
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, supplier markets, commodity pricing, and geopolitical factors to understand supply and demand dynamics and cost drivers
- Analyze data from numerous sources to identify market trends and relevant demographics
- Evaluate market data using software and statistical techniques
- Provide analytical support to help develop sourcing strategies, support supplier identification and selection processes
- Assist category managers and contribute to the development of category and sourcing strategies
- Deliver supplier intel for strategic sourcing as required on an ongoing basis based on financial performance metrics (KPIs)
- Apply the end-to-end procurement knowledge to conduct internal and external benchmarking, identify areas of cost improvement and areas of automation
- Collect and analyze data from various procurement tools like SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, Sievo, SAP MM to ensure accuracy and consistency in data
- Conduct spend analysis, total cost breakdown and should cost analysis to compare supplier prices and identify savings opportunities
- Collect, analyze data from various databases including sec filings, Refinitiv, Capital IQ, EMIS, Factiva to ensure accuracy and consistency in data
- Review and interpret large data sets and organize them into spreadsheets, charts, and graphs
- Create insightful reports, presentations, and action items based on collected data
- Strategic thinking and accountability, assessing future business needs and owning analytical support.
- Excellent communication and data presentation skills. Professional fluency in English
- Stakeholder management across multiple functions and zones
- Strong analytical and planning skills for process implementation
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain or any related functions or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Min 4+yrs of working experience in market intelligence, procurement analytics, financial analysis, or competitive benchmarking.
- Prior experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, manufacturing, or consumer goods industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes including the development of category/sourcing strategies, supplier performance management, contract management, risk management, and business partner engagement, is highly desirable.
- Proven knowledge of market research strategies and curiosity for digging into data and gaining market insights.
- Experience working with large datasets and enterprise resource planning systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, dataset modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Team Player with a positive attitude and ability to work across different business stakeholders and teams to accomplish complex tasks
- Self-Starter, driven with high business process acumen.
