Job Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Production Head to lead and manage the production operations across our three manufacturing units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, Production Targets, quality control, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery while aligning production activities with the company’s strategic goals.Position: Group Production HeadJob Location – Mahape, Navi MumbaiAge – 40-50 yearsGender – MaleDepartment – ProductionQualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering (mandatory).MBA / Postgraduate in Operations or Supply Chain (preferred).Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multiple plants.Salary Range – As per industry standardsSkills and Competencies: - Strong leadership and organizational skills. - Excellent communication and team-building abilities. - Proficiency in production software, ERP systems, and MIS reporting. - In-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems, best practices, and compliance. - Analytical and problem-solving mindset.Preferred Industry Background: Engineering, Fire Safety Equipment, Fabrication, Auto ComponentsKey Responsibilities:Strategic and Operational Leadership: - Oversee and coordinate production activities across all 3 manufacturing plants. - Develop and implement production strategies aligned with business objectives. - Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, quantity, cost, and time. - Coordinate with senior leadership on capacity planning, resource allocation, and plant performance. - Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. - Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.People Management: - Lead, mentor, and build high-performing plant-level production teams. - Drive employee engagement, training, and skill development across units. - Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.Process and Quality Management: - Ensure adherence to quality control standards and certifications (ISO, etc.). - Streamline processes using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. - Monitor and improve key metrics: OEE, yield, downtime, and rework. - Cycle Time Reduction, Management. - OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency). - New product development.Cost and Efficiency Optimization: - Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements. - Monitor consumption of materials, utilities, and other production inputs. - Drive automation and technology adoption where feasibleCompliance and Safety: - Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory guidelines (Factory Act, labor laws, EHS). - Implement robust Health & Safety practices across all units. - Keep track of Plant and Machinery health. Schedule periodical Preventive Maintenances, take corrective actions, Maintain the hygiene and safety in the plant. - Building an interactive work culture on the shop floor.Cross-Functional Coordination: - Collaborate with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, R&D, and HR teams. - Liaise with the finance department to manage budgets and capital expenditures.
