Job descriptionJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications prescribed by physicians, providing drug information to patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring safe and effective medication use.Key Responsibilities:Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety.Prepare and dispense medications according to legal and ethical guidelines.Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions.Monitor patient medication therapies for potential interactions or contraindications.Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and inventory levels.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, NABP, state boards).Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.Manage the storage and handling of pharmaceutical products to ensure quality and integrity.Participate in pharmacy audits, quality assurance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution.Valid pharmacist license in [MSPC].Previous experience in a clinical, hospital, or retail pharmacy setting preferred.Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Proficiency in pharmacy software and electronic medical records (EMR).Competencies:Attention to detail and accuracyEthical and professional conductProblem-solving and critical thinkingTime management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamJob requirements
