Sourcing Engineer ( Indirect Purchase)

• The Sourcing Specialist will be the primary contact for all sourcing and pricing for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations )
• Source MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Category / consumable parts and supplies at the lowest cost to meet delivery requirements wherever possible while maintaining quality.
• In this role, the analyst will function as the identifier of savings opportunities) that will be scrubbed and will work closely with the Function Head and manufacturers/suppliers for technical/commercial concern.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best offer available within time constraints of the requirements. In order to provide time to maximize negotiating efforts and reduce the need for rush transactions, negotiating should be conducted in advance of actual needs for products wherever practical
• Analyze purchases to determine if the lowest cost methods are being used and the lowest cost products are being purchased for MRO items. The analysis should also check to determine if the most economical quantities are being purchased.
• Maintain adequate records of all transactions and records required by the policy and procedure manual.
• Supports Commodity by conducting Offline Negotiation activities, Alternate Sourcing of component parts, risk assessment of component parts, and commercial auditing of suppliers.
• Analyzes gathered information, provides gap analysis, data drivers, and risk assessment that will affect business strategies such as contract, compliance issues and other related issues not limited to such as mentioned above.

• Must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft office software and ability to learn new specific software.
• Prior MRO purchasing and inventory management experience.
• Lean and Six Sigma Experience preferred
• Must have the ability to work with others and with teams.
• Capable to calculate ROI and writing Capital Expenditure
• Proficient use of modern IT ERP/MRP/WMS systems knowledge (SAP as preferable requirement); Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
