Kindly find below the Job description for the role of Assistant Manager- Civil Engineer Cum Admin Job Location- Mohali Company Link- https://finvasia.com/ Responsibilities: Project Management Support: - Assist the manager in overseeing civil engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. - Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate project progress and resolve any issues that arise. - Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards. - Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. - Provide technical support to engineering teams, offering guidance on design decisions, construction methodologies, and problem-solving. - Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications. - Review engineering calculations, drawings, and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Administrative Duties: - Handle administrative tasks related to project management, including document control, correspondence, and reporting. - Maintain project files, records, and databases, ensuring they are organised and up-to-date. - Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, proposals, and procurement documents. - Manage project documentation, such as meeting minutes, change orders, and requests for information. - Support the manager in developing project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts. Regulatory Compliance: - Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies, ensuring projects comply with applicable laws and regulations. - Stay informed about changes to regulatory requirements and industry standards, communicating updates to project teams as necessary. Team Leadership and Collaboration: - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve project objectives and milestones. - Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior staff members, helping them develop their skills and competencies. - Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement. Client Relations: - Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. - Communicate project updates, milestones, and deliverables to clients, ensuring transparency and alignment with their expectations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - 3+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management roles, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects. - Strong technical proficiency in civil engineering principles, design software(AUTO CAD experience is must), and construction methodologies - Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing civil engineering projects. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
