You will be working as Design Engineer at global grade 14 and will be part of Electrification business Area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Designer and will be responsible for creating, modifying and analyzing the design of equipment, systems or installations including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication or construction on assignments of medium to high complexity using established solutions. Your responsibilities Designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contractual specification Contributing to preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet the contractual obligations, while adhering to relevant standards, safety and quality Contributing and sharing experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools and processes Using standard processes and tools, assisting in development of new processes and tools for reuse of technical solutions Supporting technical risk assessments and implementing actions for one's projects Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM) Your background Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in designing medium voltage switchgear Experience in Eplan and Autocad 3D User (software user) Knowledge on SAP user for project execution Strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines Collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills More about us ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
