We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise AWS landing zone.This is your opportunity to build robust cloud infrastructure, create secure and compliant environments, and support the operational foundation that empowers our development teams to deliver solutions efficiently and reliably.

Join us to engineer the future of Continental's digital landscape in an exciting, collaborative global environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Developing and maintaining the landing zones' core infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
Implementing comprehensive security guardrails, compliance controls, and identity management solutions to protect cloud resources
Automating account provisioning, network configurations, and self-service capabilities for internal teams
Designing scalable cloud architecture patterns and connectivity solutions aligned with enterprise operational goals
Troubleshooting and resolving customer-reported platform issues, service requests, and work orders
Conducting root cause analysis for platform incidents and implementing preventative measures
Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational runbooks

Qualifications

Academic degree in computer science, another technical field or an equivalent qualification
Several years of experience in cloud platform engineering with focus on AWS services and landing zone development
Thorough experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CDK) and automation of cloud resources
Strong experiences with major AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM)
Experience with operational aspects of cloud platforms including monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, TypeScript), version control systems, and working on the command line
Basic understanding of IT service management processes and practices
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment
Professional working proficiency in English
