We are looking for a senior software engineer who specializes in the Java platform to join our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) team. You will be responsible for analyzing integration requirements for our clients, implementation, operation, and documentation for the platform. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders across Morningstar Technology, Data, Products, Sales/Service, and Research. We want to work with other engineers who bring knowledge and excitement about working with us. This position is based in our Mumbai office.Job Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the IAM services with a "gets things done" attitude.
- Analyze and remediate production issues and build instrumentation and operational readiness into the systems architecture.
- Build and maintain well-designed, well-engineered, and scalable products across a variety of markets.
- Maintain architectural direction, security and quality standards in your designs.
- Enforce good development practices including test-driven development and continuous integration.
- Potentially wear many hats including system architect, business analyst, DBA, QA, and support engineer.
- Apply DevOps practices in area of continuous and automated deployment.
- Help to shape product vision.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Java software development, with knowledge of Spring Boot framework, Python and JavaScript.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Expert in OOPs, Design Patterns, Development standards, and best practices
- Proficient in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with distributed architectures.
- Experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, JUnit), version control systems (e.g., Git), and Agile methodologies.
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including designing and deploying production-level applications.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices is a plus.
