- Contribute to the design, build, and optimize high-throughput, real-time data pipelines to process and aggregate network and system telemetry.
- Work closely with engineers, implementing best practices and actively engaging in design and code reviews.
- Design and develop distributed application services, microservices, and scalable database systems and contribute to architectural decisions for our observability platform to ensure it is scalable, reliable, and maintainable
- Take ownership of features, from backend API design and database modeling to frontend implementation and user experience.
- Create a powerful and intuitive web portal from the ground up using modern frameworks like React or Angular, enabling users to explore and visualize complex datasets.
- Design and implement flexible, user-configurable dashboards and widgets that provide at-a-glance visibility into network health and performance.
- Work with a diverse set of technologies, including backend languages (Python, Go, Java), messaging brokers (Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub), and databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Define, design, and implement REST APIs, building out Swagger UI and Postman collections.
- Contribute to the design and development of distributed application services, microservices, and scalable database systems. You will also define, design, and implement REST APIs.
- Integrate with third-party application systems using REST APIs and/or messaging queues.
- Define and execute component test scenarios and test cases, including unit testing, code coverage, and API test automation.
- Participate in build and deployment processes using tools like Jira, Jenkins, GCR/GKE.
- Enforce security best practices in both software development and deployment.
- Drive observability using Prometheus and log/data collectors for monitoring and diagnostics.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system performance and developer productivity.
- 5-8 years of experience in professional software development with a focus on object-oriented programming (OOP) and distributed microservices.
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Wide-ranging experience with cloud technologies and tech stacks, with the ability to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
- Proficiency in Python, Java or/and Go programming languages.
- Proven experience designing, building, and scaling data pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend development with React.js or Angular.js.
- Demonstrable experience building complex, data-driven user interfaces, including interactive charts, graphs, and dashboards.
- Expertise in query optimization, partitioning, and performance tuning in SQL and big data query engines.
- Strong hold on dealing with metrics, logs, and traces from distributed systems using Open Telemetry, Prometheus, and data collector frameworks.
- Experience developing microservices using the Spring-Boot framework or Go language frameworks.
- Prior working experience with messaging brokers like Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub to build event-driven microservices architectures.
- Experience with REST API and gRPC design.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems for massive horizontal scaling.
- Working experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and GCP.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, including Redis, SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions.
