As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within Infrastructure Platforms team, youdevelop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters Escalates issues to appropriate leaders Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications Implement VMware technology solutions for virtualization, networking, and storage infrastructures. Create, test, and deploy VMware Private Cloud Foundation environments. Deploy and manage vCenter and VRA. Experience with design, implementation and monitoring and management of cloud-based computing services Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 2+ years applied experience Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments General knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and moderate proficiency in relevant scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.) Experience with cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds Basic technical knowledge of additional technical domains VMware Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Services for VMware Cloud Foundation provide VMware expertise to create highly reliable and scalable cloud environments. The services provide a range of capabilities from patching and upgrades to security hardening to automated management and operations. Advanced experience of working with VMware Virtualization Product line i.e. VMware Cloud Foundations, Software Defined DataCenter, NSX-T networking, VMware vRealize suite of products including VRealize Automation, Orchestrator, using Python, Powershell, Javascript using VMware vRealize Orchestrator, VMware VRealize Automation suite of products.
