Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience as an analyst, data engineer, or a related role. Experience managing production data pipelines or warehousing data (e.g., Modern Data Warehouse stacks such as Airflow, Looker, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, Snowflake). Experience transforming datasets with SQL to meet business needs. Preferred qualifications: Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical teams. Experience with software engineering with a focus on testing, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability. Experience developing dashboards or performing analyses in a client-facing analyst role. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive adoption of solutions. Ability to manage projects with competing priorities, apply initiatives, creativity, and problem solving skills to identify solutions and meet business needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt messages to technical and non-technical audiences. The People Analytics team acts as an internal innovation lab, using analytical approaches to make sure Google continues to be a great place to work. The team provides critical support to the business around issues of organizational health and is responsible for not just taking the pulse of our Googlers, but harnessing Googler feedback to drive change for the better. As an analyst you'll be detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical and curious. You're a strong problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done. And on top of it all, you're someone who wonders 'What if' and then seeks out the solution. People Analytics is known internally and externally for ensuring data and research informs decision. Within People Analytics, the Business Intelligence team performs the role of Analytics Engineers, making sure people data is available, useful, trusted, and secure. The team develops and maintains Google's HR data warehouse, dashboards, and reports used by internal users across all levels of the company for performance and code maintainability. In this role, you will transform data to meet business priorities and provide the robust data foundation and consultation to enable data-driven HR. Responsibilities Build and maintain internal reporting pipelines and dashboards for People Operations, including troubleshooting, development, and access controls. Write advanced SQL queries, system configurations, and manage and execute project plans, leading teammates in deliverables. Own one or more data domains or cross-domain horizontals. Lead roadmap development, manage project priorities, own key relationships, and advocate for resources within the domain, informing and escalating appropriately when external factors impact execution. Design new solutions and processes to translate complex metrics and business requirements to formats that enable quick and accurate data analysis. Interact with internal users to define requirements, socialize designs, and test solutions. Work with analysts and engineers to help shape and drive the development and application of Google's internal data infrastructure including warehousing, reporting and analytics platforms.
