Your work ethic and dedication to problem solving, combined with our commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to further your career.What You Will DoParticipate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and productionCollaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectivesProduce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawingsUtilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design conceptsGuides skill development of junior designersContributes to and reinforces the “team effort” method of producing design projects.Takes responsibility for implementing approved briefing approachPrepares the design analysis and researchOversees the design development package for productionWorks with Technical coordinator and technical team to ensure design intent is accurately interpreted in documentsWith Design Manager, liaises as necessary with client on issues of design.Participates in selection of FF&E color palettes & material presentations, and generate specificationsYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in architecture, or equivalent10+ years of related project experienceProficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as Revit, Octane, 3dViz, 3ds MAX, and/or Rhino utilizing V-RayProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUpDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required; Portfolios should include at least 1 project with this particular focus, and candidates should be prepared to talk to this in their interview, especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard , Fitwell and /or Net Zero Building certification.Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codesState licensure and LEED accreditation a plusKnowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper, a plus.Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering bestin-class design.
