Boston Institute of Analytics (BIA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Media Relations Manager with a proven track record in the Ed-tech sector. The Media Relations Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing BIA's visibility and reputation through strategic media outreach and relationship building. Responsibilities: Media Outreach and Relationship Management: Develop and implement comprehensive media relations strategies to increase BIA's visibility and coverage across various media channels. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the Ed-tech sector. Proactively pitch story ideas, press releases, and thought leadership content to secure media placements and coverage for BIA's programs, initiatives, and success stories. Press Release and Content Development: Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to create compelling press releases, articles, blog posts, and other media materials. Ensure all media communications align with BIA's brand voice, messaging, and strategic objectives. Monitor industry trends, news, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for proactive media engagement and response. Media Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor media coverage and sentiment related to BIA, its programs, and industry trends. Track and analyze media metrics to assess the effectiveness of media relations efforts and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations on media coverage, trends, and performance metrics for internal stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications, with a focus on the Ed-tech sector. Proven track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with journalists and media outlets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages. Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with media monitoring and analysis tools. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and effectively interface with internal stakeholders. Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for education, technology, and innovation.
