(Exp – 5-8 Yrs)

Technical Skill set

Mandatory: Seasoned in JCL understanding and execution, File Handling (Flat files and VSM files), Basic understanding of COBOL and DB2.
Mandatory - Basic Trouble shooting in case of Job Abends.
Mandatory: Proficient in STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) including test planning, writing test scenarios / cases. execution of different types of testing (SIT, Regression etc..) and Defect management lifecycle.
Tools – File-manager or Similar (Must Have ) , CA-7 or similar Endevor or Similar (Good to have)
Good to have – basic IMS and CICS understanding.
Good to have - Experience in test Automation (using Selenium / Java, Robot / Python or Similar) and building automation framework

Functional / Behavioral Skills:

Possess strong mainframe testing experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Agile Methodology.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Test planning, Test data identification and set-up, Execute manual and automated test scripts for existing and future projects.
Perform functional testing, regression testing and SIT including and with upstream/downstream applications on incremental product releases manually and through automated testing tools.
Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct system defects discovered during the testing activity.
Be able to work in Agile methodology and able to provide inputs in Sprint planning
Documenting and tracking software failures using Jira or similar Defect management tool.
Produces and executes test plans and scripts necessary to satisfy business and/or technical requirements.
Establish and maintain critical relationships with internal and external customers to ensure work products are delivered promptly
Demonstrate a strong positive 'CAN-DO" attitude with a strong focus on results and delivery.
