- Responsible for creating detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and 3D models.
- Makes necessary changes to existing models and drawings as required.
- Understands manufacturing processes and implements new designs using the most cost-effective and efficient methods where feasible.
- Maintains a database of drawings and all transmitted documents.
- Works closely with the engineering team to determine root causes and resolutions for component or product issues.
- Creates or updates Bills of Materials for new and existing products.
- Selects and applies appropriate materials, finishes, and weld procedures to designs.
- Coordinates with Project Management and Supply Chain teams to provide updates and clarifications.
- Strong experience and knowledge in using Solid Edge for creating CAD Part, Assembly and Draft files.
- Sound knowledge of Teamcenter.
- Ability to acquire technical data via catalogs, the internet, vendors, to create models and drawings
- Ability to generate BoM, maintain data and relationships of models and drawing files in an organized fashion.
- Good knowledge of stack-ups analysis and dimensional analysis (GD&T)
- Desired Qualification: Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical or related streams
