Model Based Systems Engineering - Customer Application Systems Modeling Job Description BorgWarner Technical Center India Private Limited, a subsidiary of BorgWarner Inc. is looking for young and enthusiastic professionals in Customer Application modelling. The MBSE Customer Application modeler is responsible for developing application-specific Systems Simulation Models for xEV propulsion systems. This includes system and vehicle plant model calibration, integration of control models, integration of pre- and post-processing scripts, model & data configuration management, processing & analysis of test data for use in simulation for model application to customer projects. Responsibilities Leads the application of system simulation models for electrified propulsion systems (xEV). Translate customer specifications/expectations to system requirements. Decompose System and subsystem requirements for design element implementation. Build upon a library of representative system models and reference architectures. Maintain Configuration Management process for simulation models, system, sub-system & component model parameters, and input & output data sets. Optimize simulation performance metrics for balancing speed, robustness and complexity. Develop, update and maintain scalable heterogeneous co-simulation environment for complex use cases. Apply models to specific customer projects and summarize results. Identify areas for improvement. Process and analyze data sets from bench/lab/vehicle testing for model validation as needed. Present results internally and to customers Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 4+ years of experience in simulation, systems modeling, and controls. 2+ years of experience with hybrid / electric propulsion systems. Expert level experience in Simulink, Stateflow and state-space models. Expert level experience with MATLAB, MS Excel, TDMS and DAT file conversion. Experience with MATLAB plotting tools. Experience in configuration management tools. Knowledge of efficient data file archive / retrieval / storage tools and processes. Preferred Experience Master's Degree in Engineering or Science. Automotive vehicle-level experience. Experience with other simulation / modeling / analysis software (SimScape, GT Suite, Amesim, Ansys, Motor-CAD, Mathcad, MASTA, MESYS, SPICE, Altair suite). Proficiency in Co-Simulation tools. Proficient in C, M script, Python or similar programming languages.
