Responsibilities: Set-up the finance function for the Seed Funded FinTech, and work on developing policies, procedures & best practices within the team. Lead the entire gamut of finance, across financial reporting, accounting, taxation, treasury & financial planning functions. Prepare and present financial reports and updates for board meetings and investor discussions, managing regular reporting relationships with existing investors. Develop fundraising strategies to advise on critical decisions regarding Series A/ above rounds of funding for optimal capitalization and dilution. Lead due diligence, deal negotiation, and documentation in collaboration with external consultants. Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors. Monitor financial performance, analyze results, and provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and industry best practices. Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk effectively to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee the firm's annual financial budgeting, forecasting, and review processes Implement financial reporting system to streamline data collection and analysis, facilitating decision-making and trend identification. Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives and Ensure consistent profitability enhancement by reducing operating expenses. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Report and reduce accounts receivable while enhancing cash flow management. Craft a roadmap for achieving a clean audit opinion from a Big 4 accounting firm. Manage and oversee the financial diligence regarding Direct and Indirect taxes, including Income Tax, Tax withholding, and GST. Good to Have: Master's degree/ MBA in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CA and CS preferred. Prior 3+ years of progressive experience in a startup in finance and accounting roles, preferably in the Lending Marketplace/ EV Financing industry. Proficiency in fundraising, securing Series A/ B/ C/ D rounds in Funding. Managing relationships with investors, banks, NBFCs, and auditors. Hands-on experience working across functions within finance, strategy & business verticals. Proven track record in driving profitability, and implementing cost-optimizing initiatives.
