Hybrid Working Structured Hybrid Role At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor , days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction To provide risk and governance expertise and educational support as well as providing consultation and guidance on risk and control matters as needed. To provide clear articulation of the risk and control landscapes including ability to demonstrate an understanding of control requirements for relevant internal Barclays and external regulatory policies This will include but is not limited to: Control, Issues, Risk Event and Audit guidance, advice on policies and procedures and the oversight and management of risk. To develop and maintain relationships with senior colleagues and stakeholders - with the ability to effectively challenge when needed What will you be doing To provide oversight, advice, challenge and support relating to issues management in respect of risk and control issues. This also includes quality and adherence to SLAs throughout the issues management process. To track, report and escalate (where appropriate) control issues which are off track, below threshold or which do not meet the requirements set out under the core standards Provide advice, education and awareness relating to issues management as part of continuous improvement and enhanced service framework. To gather, analyse, manipulate, consolidate and present data to key stakeholders regarding emerging thematic issues or potential issues on the horizon, and apply logical thinking in collaborating on solutions. Participating and/or managing ad hoc projects or requests. What We re Looking For Organised, with ability to prioritise and work under pressure, delivering to tight deadlines and multiple demands across a matrix organisation. Collaborative and able to share best practice at all levels. Minimum education required is post graduate. Skills That Will Help You In The Role Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Power Query etc) Proven Stakeholder Management experience Ability to influence at senior management level Knowledge of Policies and Standards Excellent written and verbal Communication Proven track record of influencing control environment Ability to apply judgement and balance risk v s business interest whilst ensuring compliance to all relevant policies and standards.
