Those intrigued by the prospect of contributing to the digital transformation journey of a Fortune 500 company are encouraged to explore more details about the function through the providedPurpose of the roleThe Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the Global Digital Transformation initiative at General Mills in capacity of an Assistant Manager – Data Stewardship. This role will report into D&T Manager - Data Stewardship, GDGS team in India and functionally collaborate with stakeholders across the Enterprise teams. This role will need to manage a team along with handling the Supply Chain domain. This individual has ownership and accountabilities to execute Data governance practices by developing and supporting the data policies, rules and standards for the Supply Chain domain across the enterprise leveraging their expertise in Supply Chain.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leads team members to ensure data is fit for purpose.
Lead multi-domain scope & high complexity.
Develops, champions and enforces sustainable data governance policies, processes, standards and guidelines
Partners with assigned domain data owner to develop domain data governance roadmap.
Coaches segment and functional business partners to ensure appropriate application of the GMI Data Governance Framework.
Provide work directions to Data Steward Analysts or more junior Data Steward.
Facilitate Working and Governance council meetings.
Understand data lineage and provide data flow consultation.
Identify improvements and build justification for resource prioritization.
Collaborate closely with large scope projects that have direct dependency on data quality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of total experience and 6 years of relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with working in the Supply Chain domain.
Experience with Collibra, (or any other Data Quality Tools), Alation and/or other data governance tools.
Demonstrated knowledge of Data Governance strategies and processes
Experience with SQL.
Experience with Data Analysis, Data Visualization, End to End Process mindset, Lineage.
Exposure to Database Technologies (GCP, Cloud, etc)
Exposure to Agile Methodologies (ADO, etc)
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change within their domain
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Experience and competence in leading, influencing, coaching and mentoring others
Attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies
