This Is What You'll Be Doing You will operate, monitor and maintain life support equipment such as invasive and non-invasive ventilators and anaesthetic gas machines. Perform outpatient and inpatient diagnostic testing including spirometry and arterial blood gases. Initiate, monitor and discontinue oxygen therapy as needed. Respond to cardiac arrest codes and high risk births for airway maintenance and resuscitation. Perform intubation as ordered by the physician. Teach patients and staff throughout the hospital as required. Participate in departmental quality assurance activity. Comply with occupational health and safety requirements. Assist with departmental policy and procedure development and review.
