Overview:
As a Finance Reporting Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the firm’s strategic Finance reporting platforms. This role requires strong technical and functional expertise across Finance data flows, reporting technologies, month end processes, and system management. You will be responsible for delivering change initiatives, resolving BAU issues, and ensuring robust, accurate, and scalable reporting capabilities across AMIS/ER systemsKey Responsibility:
  • Work within project teams to deliver IT change across Finance reporting and accounting platforms (AMIS / ER).
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Finance stakeholders to define requirements, shape solutions, and ensure technical needs are reflected in Functional Design Documents.
  • Analyse Finance data flows, identify gaps, and support configuration and enhancement of reporting systems.
  • Develop and optimise reporting components (SSRS, Cognos, SQL, MDX, MS BI Stack, T24), dashboards, and automated reporting packages.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis for BAU issues, optimise queries, and drive system performance improvements.
  • Provide functional Finance Technology subject‑matter expertise for major change programmes and regulatory initiatives.
  • Support the month‑end and quarter‑end reporting lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate delivery for Finance stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with development team, manage workload distribution, and deliver weekly progress updates to management.
  • Participate in test strategy definition and execute unit, system, SIT, and UAT cycles, including preparation of test cases and result documentation.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices and remain stable and reliable in production, providing post‑go‑live support where needed.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional Technology teams to ensure alignment in architecture, data integrity, and control frameworks.
  • Manage enhancement requests, ensure proper governance, and support structured release management with BAU teams.
Requirements • Strong experience working in Finance Technology or Financial Reporting within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Solid hands‑on background with reporting tools such as SSRS, Cognos, MDX, SQL, Microsoft BI Stack, and T24 (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Finance data flows, adjustments processes, control frameworks, and the month‑end lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting GAAP/IFRS reporting, management reporting, or Basel / RWA / capital reporting is preferred.
  • Experience with ETL concepts, performance tuning, and large‑scale data processing.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Control‑M or similar.
  • Proven experience delivering IT change, with strong understanding of project lifecycle, governance, documentation, and testing standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex data/reporting issues.
  • Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and offshore teams.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience preparing test strategies, test plans, scripts, and ensuring high‑quality releases to production.
