Job Description :We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ceramic Technician to join our dental team at JKKN Dental College and Hospital. The Ceramic Technician will play a vital role in contributing to our mission of offering high-quality dental care and education. As a Ceramic Technician, you will be responsible for crafting and producing dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and other ceramic restorations. Your precision and attention to detail will directly impact the quality of care our patients receive and contribute to the advancement of dental technology.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with dental professionals, including prosthodontists and dentists, to understand the specific requirements for each patient's dental restoration.
- Utilize cutting-edge technology and techniques to design, fabricate, and customize ceramic dental prosthetics, ensuring a precise fit, aesthetics, and functionality.
- Select appropriate materials and shades for each patient's restoration, considering factors such as durability, biocompatibility, and esthetics.
- Operate and maintain dental laboratory equipment, such as porcelain ovens, milling machines, and scanners, ensuring accurate and consistent results.
- Perform quality control checks on finished restorations to ensure they meet the highest standards of excellence.
- Keep accurate records of all laboratory procedures, materials used, and patient information.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental ceramics and materials to continually enhance the quality of work.
- A diploma (or degree) in Dental Mechanics or a related field is required.
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Ceramic Technician in a dental laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in designing and fabricating ceramic dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and dentures.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and aesthetics.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology and dental laboratory software.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with dental professionals and convey technical information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
