- The AVP within SES will have to work in coordination with the staff in the department and with the team managers to ensure all the day to day activities are performed within the agreed SLA’s .
- The AVP will also be responsible to work alongside co-AVPs and VPs to address and escalate all risk and operational issues.
- Responsible for ensuring that day to day controls are being followed and any risks and issues are escalated and reported on a timely manner.
- Other responsibilities include cross -Regulatory reporting, succession planning, Preparation of Management reports and Departmental initiatives, and interfacing with the different departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting within the given timelines.
- AVP would also be responsible for other activities like BCM, Audits, Transformation and people related initiatives.

- Facilitate change initiatives within the team
- Manage Settlements and clearing activities that are supported from DIPL.
- Identifying operational risks proactively and mitigating appropriately.
- Have in depth knowledge of Securities Services Life Cycle
- Work very closely with the process owners/stakeholders and other internal clients for overall mitigation of risks in the process
- Building and refining controls metrics (benchmarks) by involving team and onsite management.
- Identifies, analyses, and resolves complex problems related to product line or functions using best practices and change precedents to resolve.
- 10 to 15 years’ experience in Investment Banking Operations/ Securities and Custody Operations.
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations.
- Strong English written & verbal skills required. Ability to converse clearly with internal and external staff via telephone and written communication.

- Graduate in Commerce/ Finance (Preference – Postgraduate/ MBA)
