Data Modeler - 8+ Years - India (Remote/Hybrid)We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Modeler to join our Data Management team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing logical and physical data models to support enterprise-wide data initiatives, ensuring data is structured, accurate, and analytics-ready.Location:PAN India (Remote/Hybrid), Preferred: Bengaluru, Pune, NCRYour Future Employer:A forward-thinking, data-driven company transforming analytics into actionable business decisions through cutting-edge architecture and scalable data models.Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate business requirements into scalable conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to drive data solutions.
  • Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and reusability across data marts, ODS, RDBMS, and data lakes (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Govern data model standards, naming conventions, and metadata documentation.
  • Perform reverse engineering from physical databases and SQL scripts.
  • Conduct profiling and analysis for data quality, completeness, and consistency.
  • Assist in data integration and warehousing efforts, supporting BI/reporting frameworks.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on modern data architectures and modeling philosophies (e.g., Dimensional, Data Vault).
  • Drive data architecture alignment with cloud transformation (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake).
Required Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years in data modeling, architecture, or related roles
  • Strong command over Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner or similar modeling tools
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • Deep experience with dimensional modeling, ODS, and Data Vault approaches
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake)
  • Proficient in SQL, data profiling, metadata management
  • Hands-on knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL, and Big Data technologies (e.g., Redshift, Postgres, Hadoop, Databricks)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps integration
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Documentation and translation of business processes to technical models
  • Canonical data modeling, JAD sessions, UML diagramming
  • SQL performance tuning, PL/SQL procedure design, metadata strategies
  • Legacy-to-modern system mapping, reverse and forward engineering
  • Familiarity with tools like TOAD, SQL Assistant, Red Gate, SVN
  • Experience with standards setup for enterprise-wide metadata and data dictionary
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to guide junior analysts, data engineers, and developers
