- Responsible for Maintaining the Critical Equipment's like Mixers, Extruders, Calender etc in a QBM way
- Lead and manage a team of skilled technicians in the execution and commissioning of innovative process improvements, ensuring timely project completion and adherence to CEAT's high standards.
- Spearhead the design, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge mechanical systems and solutions for various tyre manufacturing processes.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by actively identifying and implementing solutions to reduce scrap, minimize downtime, and optimize resource utilization, driving operational efficiency and cost savings.
- Proactively analyze equipment performance data to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance strategies, ensuring seamless production and maximizing equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and achieve shared goals.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and tyre manufacturing technology, actively seeking opportunities to leverage new knowledge and techniques to enhance CEAT's competitive edge.
- Cultivate a safe and compliant work environment by ensuring strict adherence to all safety regulations and protocols, fostering a culture of safety consciousness within the team.
- Needs to work in shifts as & when required.
- Responsible for QIP, QC, Kaizen, 5S Activities in the Department.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong academic record.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the tyre industry.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, including experience with design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
