
CFD Engineer – Turbine Analysis

- Ensure design functionality, safety and integrity and compliance with appropriate Codes and Standard Design Practices
- Perform CFD simulations of turbine components including stators, rotors, nozzles, and casings.
- Analyze internal flow behavior, pressure losses, blade loading, secondary flows, and heat transfer.
- Generate high-quality structured or unstructured meshes using meshing tools (e.g., ANSYS Meshing, Space Claim, ICEM CFD).
- Set up steady and transient CFD simulations using tools such as ANSYS CFX, Fluent
- Perform CFD analysis and Conduct design reviews with chief engineering office as required.
- Collaborate with cross disciplinary functions like CADD, and Engineering team for inputs and quires.
- Maintain first time quality metrics for the projects
- Should be well versed in following tools
- Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 4 years to 6 years of progressively responsible post-bachelor’s degree engineering experience in CFD
- Experience with rotating machinery, including centrifugal or axial turbines and compressors.
- Familiarity with conjugate heat transfer (CHT), multiphase flow, or transient blade row methods
- Ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying technical issues.
