Responsibilities

Basic knowledge of overall vehicle layout & basics of all mechanical systems mounted on chassis.
Study packaging feasibility of various components & generate concepts.
Should be good with sheet metal design.
Design components per DFM, DFA & DFS.
Should be flexible with working on structural parts as well as plumbing/routings.
Should understand supplier manuals of various components and integrate them with vehicle.
Good knowledge of Siemens NX: Sheet metal, solid modelling, Mechanical routings, Assembly & drafting.

Should prepare part, assembly & installation drawings, BOM and handle releases at system level as well as vehicle level.
Knowledge of strength of materials
Sufficient knowledge of GD and T.
Should ensure design process/ design guidelines.
Should generate various weight and cost reduction ideas and implement them.
Should interact with various agencies like CAE team, DMU team, suppliers, testing and assembly line to understand the issues and resolve them.
Good communication skills and work with minimum support.
Be pro-active & quick learner.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification: BE (Mechanical),
Minimum Experience: 1 to 5 years

Additional Advantage

Already worked on an e-truck and familiar with components function
Prior working with DTNA systems like IMACS/ERS+
Perform preliminary CAE using NX.
