Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and other drinks, according to established recipes and quality standards. Provide friendly and attentive customer service, greeting guests, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items. Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner, making recommendations and building rapport to enhance their experience. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with precision and care, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regular cleaning of equipment, countertops, and serving areas. Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed, ensuring availability of ingredients and materials for beverage preparation. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, following proper procedures for handling and storing perishable items. Collaborate with team members to efficiently manage workflow during busy periods, prioritizing tasks and assisting where needed. Stay informed about current coffee trends, techniques, and products, continuously seeking opportunities for learning and improvement. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the coffee shop. Qualifications: Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred. Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and professionally. Friendly and outgoing personality, with a passion for providing exceptional service to customers. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and managing competing priorities. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating orders. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
