About the roleAs a Pricing Actuary, analyzing the profitability of the business is key! We need to identify key drivers impacting the portfolio performance. We develop proposal in collaboration with business owners to mitigate gap between what has been costed against actual performance.You will work with counterparts in Underwriting, Reserving, Claims and Finance to have a 360° view on your portfolio and develop an independent Actuarial Pricing opinion on the portfolio's expected performance. We develop insights on trends and set parameters to improve the predictability and accuracy of costing models. In our inclusive and flexible environment everyone can bring their authentic selves to work.Main responsibilitiesProfitability StudiesHave a clear independent view on current pricing or loss adequacy driven by data analysis of the in-force Credit & Surety portfolioCoordinating the overall portfolio steering and risk mitigation processCollaborate with customers and team members to develop a best estimate view and develop compelling recommendationsWork with the business to predict forward looking portfolio structureTranslate details into impactful Executive reports with effective communicationCosting Accuracy and Data AnalyticsTranslate profitability findings into corrective actions on costing models and parameters.Build and maintain costing parameters(EAD, LGD, PD) and tools in accordance to Swiss Re Group standards and business needs.Conducting forward-looking sector and credit market analyses and feasibility studies to support long term strategic intiativesUse actuarial and data science techniques to develop insights and trends that can be used for risk selection or differentiation; and costing improvements.Provide best estimate recommendations and develop bespoke modelling techniques for structured transactions.About youProfessional and technical skillsA minimum of 3+ years' experience in performing quantitative analysis, statistical modeling. Experience in credit risk modelling or pricing model for credit insurance will be preferredFoundational knowledge and understanding of global macroeconomics, financial markets. Experience and knowledge of credit related products will be preferredYou have highly developed numerical and analytical skills. Foundation in statistical/econometric modelling techniques and/or data science methods will be an additional advantageYou have statistical programming skills (e.g. R, Phyton)Whilst you have the attention to detail, you can see the bigger picture, focusing efforts on areas or solutions that would have the highest impact.You can translate your quantitative work into effective visualizations for high impact communication.You can derive recommendations and communicate implications to all partners- from peers to senior leaders.Personal Leadership SkillsYou are independent and accountable - and have the skill to organize the priorities to complete plans to achieve high quality results on time.You work for the collective success of the team, take own initiative, are open and dependable; and demonstrate collaboration and intercultural competence.
