Position: AgronomistDepartment: AgronomyReports To: Assistant General ManagerLocation: Raipur, ChhattisgarhPrinciple Responsibility:Calculation of Water requirements for various crops grown in a particular region. This includes fruit crops / vegetable crops / field crops and medicinal crops etc. Preparation of Irrigation schedule.Preparation of fertigation program and provide general recommendations on use of fertilizer to farmers.In addition to irrigation and fertigation scheduling, he should be able to provide general crop advisory on Agronomic aspects to drip irrigation beneficiaries.Preparation of Agronomic guidelines / Package of practices in local / regional languages for major crops grown in his region.Preparation of Power Point Presentations in local / regional languages for major crops grown in his region.To organize and conduct farmers meetings with the aim to educate farmers / potential customers and dealer staff on agronomical aspects of drip irrigation.Act as a resource during farmer tours / field days to visit drip installation plots and lead the campaign.To participate in agricultural exhibitions / seminars held by Sugar factories, universities etc. to showcase agronomic strength of organization.To act as a resource in Agronomic Training to Sales Staff and channel partners in his area ofoperation on regular basis.To create and document success stories, knowledge series and posts for selected plots in particular region of operation. To further ensure proper circulation of these success stories and its appropriate multiplication.Need based participation during meetings before / during and after sales particularly in institutional sales / large size projects.Participate and create content for digital activities like webinar, sharing information digitally, coordination with agronomy, sales and marketing team.OTHER DUTIES:Manage numerous, challenging tasks/projects; must be able to multitask in an organized fashion.Develop effective relationships with customer base and local growers.Maintain extraordinary level of customer service.Maintains a contact sheet of current and potential customers.Responsible for improving and finding alternative sources and solutions in helping customers accomplish their buying needs.Other duties as may be assigned.Skills:The candidate should possess good communication skills with fluency in English /Hindi and Local language.He should have sound knowledge of drip irrigation technology.He should possess excellent subject knowledge related to various crops grown in his regionComputer literacy in MS word, excel and power point.The Candidate:The incumbent will ideally possess the above.Industry Preference:Preferably from micro irrigation industry or fertilizer / micronutrients.Qualification:M.Sc. Agronomy OR M.Sc. Horticulture is preferred.Experience:3 to 7 Years.
