Job description Role purpose Provide strategic and operational leadership to the AMEA Regional Regulatory Operations team and establish operational excellence in AMEA Develop digital strategy and execution plan fully aligned with the ambition of global PS&Regulatory and regional CPD digital strategy to be served for different level of customers and stakeholders Ensure all execution plan of Operations are fully implemented to support delivery of registration projects in AMEA Manage the AMEA PS & regulatory Budget Qualifications Accountabilities Set vision and strategic direction for the future of Operations in PS & Regulatory to enable product registrations in different geographies and digital transformation Lead the Operations team of 4 PS & Regulatory Operations leads consisted of 3 CU PS & Regulatory Operations leads and Supply chain coordination manager to deliver team priority and commitment Establish regional standard model of operations (systems, process, way of working, organization and data quality management) in AMEA aligned with global model required to build the regulatory dossier and deliver registration submissions in countries of AMEA Develop process to leverage digital technology and efficient way of working in regulatory team and with other functions across broad geography (Global ' Region ' CU ' Country) Lead to implement digital strategy and use of digital tools to improve efficiency in managing registration planning, progress tracking, finding and managing registration information for portfolio management and professional consultation to commercial, CPD, P&S and other functions. Registration information includes, but not limited to, building blocks of registration data for registration dossier development, all records of submitted product registrations and certificates, registration data requirements and timeline, regulatory policy information, registration data points to be used for various functional purposes. Digital strategy is expected to gain efficiency and effectiveness in data management, data quality management, budget management and knowledge management. Responsible for the regional operations team for organization and strucutre, capabilities and capacity, talent management, succession planning and indiviudal development to ensure sustainable team equipped to deliver the current and future needs Ensure the right use of data and create the data architecture needed for current and future digital aspirations fully aligned with global initiatives (Veeva and other solutions) Owns and monitor KPIs of PS & CP Regulatory including budget management ' adjusting, proposing changes and coordinating with global and CUs. Drive continuous improvement in regulatory operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of activities in support of company CP business strategy Ensure Supply Chain coordination manager is closely working cross-functionaly across geography and functionally to keep fully compliant and aligned with business plan by lisising with P&S planner, relevant Regulatory portfolio indication leads and Global Portfolio Support team Establish and maintain the governance model / framework required to operate the systems and processes that are common to other areas of Syngenta AG Ensure consistent training and development for cross functional processes and systems Act as the focal point of regional operations team to strategic business partners within CP PS & regulatory and outside CP PS & regulatory including CPD, Project management and other functions Additional Information Critical knowledge and experiences University graduate and preferably post-graduate qualification (MSc or PhD) In-depth regulatory expertise preferentially on different geographies, roles Understanding of the R&D organisations, and key processes involved with development of new active ingredient and products Solid understanding of agriculture and the contribution of crop protection to achieve sustainable agriculture Great leadership skills Knowledge on systems, data and knowledge management as this relates to the role Strategic thinking and passion for operations Operational excellence approach to process improvement Critical experience 10+ years' Regulatory experience in country, region and global Change leadership of significant programs Experienced in different software development concepts and methodologies 5+ years experience in people management, mentorship and coaching Proven track record in results orientation and project management Proven ability to work within and contribute to cross-functional teams Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities Critical thinking and process driven approach Ability to drive the strategy as well as lead the implementation Flexible and adaptable leadership style Ability to engage and inspire Creativity and innovation Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
