Organizational Overview: The role will be part of the Treasury Outbound Operations Team and will work on Credit Balance Refunds process which is one of the crucial sub-processes as it deals with Card holders. This role will report to Manager, CBR Process. Role Summary/Purpose: This individual would be located in Hyderabad, India and support activities that fall under the Credit Balance Refund process for the Cash Management team within Treasury. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to processing manual checks and putting stop-pay on credit balance refund checks (CBRs), processing PO Returns for CBRs. In this role, you will gain functional experience in Finance especially within the Operations team of Treasury. Essential Responsibilities: Process Stop Payment requests of credit balance refund checks. Process manual check payment requests. Process PO Returns queues related to credit balance refunds. End of day reconciling and balancing of daily processes. Track and report volume for monthly metrics. Research on cardholder Complaints that get assigned to Treasury. Support the implementation of key client/business initiatives that affect Cash Management processes. Support Cash Management Leader with initiatives and goals, targeting process and productivity improvements. Document process flows, procedures and job aids. Maintain a thorough understanding of all business processes, transaction flows, key systems and sources which impact Cash Management Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in any discipline Minimum 2+ years of working experience on FDR, Workstation Minimum of 6+ months experience in Payments and Enterprise Operations teams within Synchrony Financial Excellent communication skills - both oral and written. Desired Characteristics: Experience with FDR receivable systems, ACM, I2R. Working experience on Cardholder accounts in FDR, PO Returns and/or Payments Research Knowledge of Synchrony Financial systems (Oracle GL, Discoverer, Triton, Draft Reconciliation System) Ability to execute in a fluctuating environment. Attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Personal Computer proficiency (software: MS Office preferred especially Excel) Excellent organizational and follow up skills. Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship building skills. Demonstrated commitment to quality and customer service. Excellent communication skills - both oral & written Ability to lead small projects to completion. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with Minimum 2+ years of working experience on FDR, Workstation or in lieu of a degree 4+ years of working experience on FDR, Workstation Minimum of 6+ months experience in Payments and Enterprise Operations teams within Synchrony Financial Work Timings: This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
