The QMS Manager in PCB manufacturing is responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). They ensure full compliance with international standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100), regulatory requirements, and customer-specific demands to ensure high-quality, defect-free PCB products.Key Responsibilities
  • QMS Development & Compliance: Lead the implementation, maintenance, and certification of the QMS (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, or AS9100).
  • PCB Technical Compliance: Ensure all products adhere to PCB-specific industry standards, including IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) and IPC-J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).
  • Auditing: Lead internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring timely closure of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 8D, RCA) to enhance yield, reduce scrap, and minimize customer complaints.
  • Documentation Control: Oversee the creation and control of SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality Manuals to ensure compliance.
  • Supplier Quality: Coordinate with sourcing to audit and approve suppliers, ensuring incoming materials meet PCB specifications.
  • KPI Reporting: Monitor and analyze key quality metrics (Yield, DPMO—Defects Per Million Opportunities, SPC data) and report to senior management.
  • Customer Support: Manage customer quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing actions to restore confidence.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Experience: 10–15+ years of experience in Quality Management, specifically within PCB/SMT or Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environments.
  • Certifications: Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001/IATF 16949/AS9100 is highly desirable.
