- Design Management:
- Lead and coordinate the design process for underground metro stations, tunnels, shafts, and ancillary structures.
- Review and validate design deliverables from consultants and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely submission and approval of design documents in line with project schedules.
- Technical Coordination:
- Interface with civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and geotechnical teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Resolve design conflicts and ensure constructability of design outputs.
- Coordinate with BIM teams for model integration and clash detection.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with clients, government authorities, and third-party reviewers for design approvals.
- Facilitate design workshops and technical meetings with stakeholders.
- Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure designs adhere to Indian and international standards (IS, IRC, MoRTH, NFPA, etc.).
- Monitor design quality and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain design logs, approval trackers, and change management records.
- Prepare regular reports on design progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in relavent projects, with at least 8 years in underground metro works.
- Strong understanding of tunnel design, NATM, TBM, cut-and-cover methods, and station architecture.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital design coordination.
