Front Line Engineer- Electrical & Instrumentation

• Supervise the working during the shift to ensure that the safety norms are being adhered to.
• For the higher safety requirements jobs (hot work), confined space, coordinate with the safety officer and process department for their presence and supervise lockout and tag out of the equipment and provide necessary permit to the concerned person from within department
• SBO and ensure safety talk in dept.
• Prepare JSA and communicate to technicians for adherence to safety PPE’s

• Supervise minor predictive maintenance of the equipment during the shift and inform and assist the area engineer/ section head for any major problem requiring predictive maintenance or breakdown in critical equipment
• Repair equipment during the shift to ensure that it is performed as per SOPs while ensuring timeliness, quality and safety
• Execution of electrical equipment routine checking as per schedule.
• Ensure continuous power to plant equipment and colony
• Execution of activity related to Liasioning and co-ordination with DISCOM for electricity purchase assigned by SH
• Minimise the equipment failure through root cause analysis and implement corrective action plan.
• Create a log of any deviation
• Execution of SPC reduction activity
• Provide inputs on the experience with particular equipment, raise issue w.r.t. repeated failure, quality issue at appropriate level for redressed

• Explain any new SOP, equipment, norm to the technicians for effective and safe implementation.
• Monitor Electricians and Instrument technicians to ensure E & E system/equipment are handled as per set standards.
• Providing on the training and job inputs to the technicians or users for better handling and maintenance of electrical equipment

• Organise required spares, indenting and issuance from stores and provide the same to the technician and retain unused spares as required for maintenance work while ensuring that misuse and wastage is avoided.
• Implement consumption reduction initiatives for natural resources and energy saving.

• Making the scheduled visits to various sections and resolving the issues wherever required and providing the resources, if need be to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Carrying out the counselling wherever required for smooth plant operations.

• Ensure awareness and capability building of team members towards business excellence requirement.
• Manager WCM/IMS initiatives in coordination with Business excellence team
• Ensure legal compliances required in all process.
