Job Description:As a member of the DBA team, you should:
  • Be experienced in defining maintenance operations like backup strategy, patching process etc for production databases
  • Possess strong work experience in Oracle Autonomous Database
  • Have extensive experience on daily operational responsibilities for live production databases
  • Possess the expertise to troubleshoot database issues like connectivity failures, degraded performance, ORA- errors
  • Be experienced in Golden Gate configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Have hands on experience in database backup and restore, point in time recovery.
  • Be experienced in setting up database security standards as per business requirements.
  • Be experienced in automating Database operations.
  • Have a strong, positive work ethic as demonstrated by initiative, adaptability and the desire to do what is needed to maintain customer demands.
  • Possess demonstrated history of working in a virtual team spread across continents.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for global audience.
  • Possess strong inter-personnel communication skills to be able to make great business relationships with people from various LoBs.
  • Possess a keen sense of organization and attention to detail.
  • Possess the ability to handle unforeseen difficulties and obstacles with ease.
  • Be an excellent team player who can work on complex projects with a group of other engineers.
  • Provide technical leadership, coach and mentor other team members in processes and methodologies
  • Be passionate about learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms
  • Have a deep understanding of technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning
Be flexible to work in rotational shifts including weekends and ready to accept On-call responsibility for Weekends/Public holidays.Responsibilities:Technical Skills
  • Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database
  • Proficient in daily database maintenance requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for failures for various operations, performance issues
  • Experience in defining DB parameters, filesystem management for DB, memory tuning
  • Database operations' Automation
  • Oracle Database creation, backup configuration, patching, security
  • Familiarity with Cloud concepts
Note: Shift working is mandatory.
