FIS is looking for a Product Owner to join our team. As a Product Owner, you will work with an exciting and collaborative team within Data Solutions group. We are passionate about our work and take a client-first approach to everything we do.About the team:
We bring award-winning, multi-asset-class investment operations and data solutions which primarily serve the Buy Side Asset Managers with front-to-back best in class solutions. * Our market leader solutions include –Investment Accounting Manager, Private Capital Suite, Virtus, Global Transfer Agency and Data Management solution.
- Premier Asset Managers leverage our comprehensive investment operations systems and cloud services to drive growth and efficiency in the dynamic market conditions.
- Solutions used by 80% of the world’s largest Asset Managers as well as 90% of largest Private Equity firms.
- About 950 Product Engineering & 2,000 BPO FIS employees across the globe working efficiently to ensure our solution can process $47T worth of assets accurately.
- Design process flow and field mapping for complex asset types
- Create & groom user stories for features and workflows; define acceptance criteria.
- Help debug issues and work with QA.
- Prioritize user stories and plan sprints based on team capacity.
- Ensure that delivery timelines and acceptance criteria are met.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies.
- Status reporting to all stakeholders and escalate any risks in timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain internal documentation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Past experience in implementing a pricing and security master product.
- Above average SQL/data mining skills
- Knowledge of financial services industry and various asset types (equities, fixed income, derivatives etc.)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks independently.
- Strong time management and attention to details
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner.
- Client relationship management skills, understanding and focusing on clients’ needs, establishing credibility and building positive, professional, relationships with clients.
- Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally.
- Strong user of JIRA, productivity toolkits like SharePoint, Wiki etc.
- Data modeling and data design. Experience with ERWIN or similar tool preferred.
- Familiarity in using Snowflake as a technology choice.
- Must be able to perform under pressure.
- Must learn and maintain knowledge of software components as necessary to support application builds and deployments and maintaining production environments.
