Introduction The successful candidate will work within the File Gateway Engineering & Development team to Develop, Unit test and deploy the Sterling artefacts like Maps, Business process. They will also be expected to know the Sterling Env well so any environment relates issues could be managed within Development timescales. They will report into the File Gateway E&D manager and will be working independently on various business releases and technology remediation delivery work. They will be expected to work alongside the Architecture/Design and Testing teams, ensuring maximum collaboration. They will also be heavily focussed on ensuring Engineering capabilities and help with adoption of DevOps methodology across the wider estate. What will you be doing o Working as an individual contributor for development across Sterling product suite. o Manage deploy process as part of a standard project deployment work, following environment standards and best practices. o Work closely with the peers within / outside team and keep stakeholders updated on progress against milestones - support development and testing leads to ensure collaboration across the entire project is seamless. o Enhance and improve application deployment capability via DevOps, CI/CD and Automation o Highlight risk and issues via effective control and Standard Barclays processes. o Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirement and Barclays policies and standards What we're looking for: o Experience of IBM Sterling File Gateway suite would be highly beneficial to a candidate. This includes Sterling Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy, Perimeter Servers, Sterling Control Centre. o Strong knowledge of SQL. Working knowledge on Shell scripting & Java. o Basic understanding of deployment process Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery concepts (CI / CD) and also should be aware of CI tools like Jenkins etc. o Strong knowledge in version control using GIT o Knowledge on Cloud/Containers/Kubernetes concepts will be an added advantage. o Knowledge on file transfer Protocols, (FTPs/SFTP/Connect:Direct) and basics of certificate management (TLS/SSL/OCSP). o Minimum Qualification - B.E. / B. Tech or equivalent.
