Follows all company and department policies and procedures with special consideration for safety.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Leads, coaches, supports, and ensures the commitment of site and functional management to operate at a high level of health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Accountable for effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Leads the organization in contributing to and acting upon the OFI (Opportunity for Improvement) system, ensuring timely closure of actions.
- Defines and drives HSE initiatives with a strong focus on execution, measurable KPIs, and continuous improvement. Develops and leads the annual review of HSE performance.
- Analyzes incident, injury, and illness data to identify trends and proactively adjust HSE priorities to address areas of concern.
- Leads and oversees incident investigations. Ensures complete investigation of serious incidents and injuries and prepares material and evidence for use in regulatory reviews, hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
- Compiles, consolidates, analyzes, and submits HSE reports required by senior management and regulatory agencies.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable HSE regulations and company standards. Verifies that all required records are maintained according to established guidelines. Issues and tracks corrective actions as required.
- Leads management reviews of corrective actions, evaluates performance against benchmarks, and develops, communicates, and executes improvement and recovery plans.
- Develops, implements, and manages safety programs and employee training related to HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintains training certifications required for ISO/API compliance.
- Oversees execution of HSE process implementation, training, and regulatory requirements for operations, contractors, logistics, and field activities as applicable.
- Manages participation in all required environmental, health, and safety inspections and audits. Represents the organization during inspections and provides required documentation.
- Ensures the safe identification, control, and mitigation of physical, biological, and chemical hazards within the manufacturing environment.
- Manages security requirements for the India plant, including access control, badge issuance for employees, contractors, and temporary staff. Maintains badge policies and site access procedures.
- Acts as Fire Safety Coordinator; conducts fire drills, maintains floor warden and emergency response training records, and manages evacuation preparedness including mobility-impaired protocols.
- Develops, implements, and maintains HSE policies, procedures, and standards. Keeps abreast of changes to laws and regulations and ensures timely incorporation into company policies and manuals

- comprehend, interpret, and communicate information accurately, clearly, and concisely in English and local languages, both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), OHST, or equivalent preferred.
- Strong knowledge of applicable HSE regulations, standards, and statutory requirements, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Understanding of HSE KPIs, leading and lagging indicators, risk assessment, and incident investigation processes.
- Familiarity with HSE practices within oil & gas manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in an HSE Manager or senior HSE leadership role with site-level accountability.
- Proven experience managing audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Industry experience in oil & gas, energy, or heavy manufacturing is preferred.
