Who we are looking forWe are looking for someone with a track record of success in testing automation within large, complex, client facing transformation programs. Working with test Automation lead, you will help manage the team’s central automation team, providing technical leadership whilst partnering with functional testers and delivery teams across front, middle, and back office applications. You will need strong experience in automation strategy, a deep understanding of modern test tooling and frameworks (including robotics and GenAI use cases) and are comfortable operating across cloud-native and on-prem environments.Why this role is important to usAlpha is the industry’s first interoperable front-to-back platform connecting data, applications, and operations across State Street, Charles River Development, clients, and partners. Robust, automated end-to-end testing, is essential to accelerate implementation timelines, increase reliability, and provide consistent, repeatable client experience.What you will be responsible forThis role will be responsible for working with the Global head of automation to manage the team’s central automation practice, and to partner with the global testing team members who utilize automation in the field.Design, implement, and maintain a modular, reusable test automation framework centered on UiPath Test Suite (incl. RPA test automation, orchestrations, and GenAI-assisted test generation/analysis).Managing and partnering with a global testing team of functional and automation testers who design, plan, and execute testing for all in scope applications, systems, workflows, and data models/flows.Leading the planning, design, and execution of all automation testing activities.Define and promote standards, tools, and best practices for test automation, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.Define and promote standards, tools, and best practices for test automation, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.Adoption and continuous improvement of best practices and testing standards.Financial planning and resource management for the automation team including estimation, budget to actual, and change management.Mentor automation engineers and functional testers, fostering capability growth and continuous improvement.What we valueThe successful candidate must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and understand global portfolio management and financial servicing; including portfolio construction, trading, compliance, and risk across all major asset classes. This position will have interaction with, and exposure to, the highest levels of executive management within State Street and within our clients’ organizations.These skills will help you succeed in this role:Hands-on expertise with UiPath Test Suite and familiarity with RPA/GenAI use cases in testing.Strong grounding in software engineering for tests: Git, branching, code review, dependency management.Experience automating API, UI, data, and workflow tests across cloud-native and on-prem systems.Experience working with both cloud native and on prem applications.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving and team collaboration.Experience in agile methodology and tools (e.g., JIRA, Xray, Confluence) preferred.Experience in portfolio management theory and application, as well as trading platforms is (useful but not essential).Knowledge of key risk indicators, governance, oversight and escalation practices.Experience presenting across various stakeholder groups, including clients.Strong execution management skills for delivery of programs and initiatives.Ability to collaborate and work across multiple stakeholders.Education & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree. MBA preferred, but not necessary.15+ years overall experience with 8+ year’s into leading test automation / project teams consisting of employees, contractors, and partner organizations.10+ years of financial and/or technology transformation experience.About State StreetWhat we do.
